GLENCOE, South Australia dairyfarmers, Matt Seeliger and Kate Holberton, took the South-East South Australian award in the prestigious 2007 Dairy Business of the Year Award. The young couple run a 260-cow herd on 100 hectares of irrigated pasture and Mr Seeliger attributed their business success to “growing a lot of grass”.  Please click here.

A YOUNG Gippsland dairyfarming couple with a strong vision for developing their farm took two awards in the Dairy Business of the Year (DBOY) competition. Claudio and Bronwyn Segafredo have grown their Nambrok, Victoria, farm from 160 cows in 1996 to 600 cows this season.  Please click here.

New Awards for Top Businesses
A NEW dairyfarming competition will be launched next year. The Dairy Business of the Year competition will be open to dairyfarmers from Victoria, southern NSW (Riverina) and south-east South Australia in 2007, with plans to extend it to other areas of Australia in future years. The competition will recognise business excellence in dairyfarming, based on achievement of high levels of profitability and other business indicators.  Please click here.
